Yeah, people have pointed that out. I remember seeing 带走 too. Now that you mention it, that’s probably why the people at McDonald’s looked at me weirdly when I said 打包. 带走 would’ve been better.

I always use 带走 for when buying something to take away, and 打包 for a doggy bag.

Good post! Except for 打包, I often heard 带走 while living in Shanghai.

Some good ones here, never heard 打包 for take away though, we’d always use 外帶 in Taiwan.
