ChineseCUBES Review: A Novel Way To Start Learning Chinese

By Confused Laowai | Date: November 10th, 2012 | Category: Reviews

I received an email a few months back about a new product called ChineseCUBES. I was instantly intrigued, as it was a novel concept, using blocks with Chinese characters on them with augmented reality. I’m definitely a promoter for new and exciting ways to learn languages, especially when it comes to using new technology. The poster showed no damage, but I was afraid I’d tear the poster, because it was such a snug fit inside the tube. With a tug and wiggle I slowly got the poster out. I let it lie for a day or […]

L-Lingo Review

By Confused Laowai | Date: October 27th, 2010 | Category: Reviews

So being a niche blogger does have its perks. Like being offered to review premium services free of charge. Not only, do I have an interest in language learning, but I’m very interested in how hypermedia and new media can be used to aid the language learning process. That’s basically what I’m aiming to study next year as well: an MPhil in Hypermedia for Language Learning. L-Lingo is one of those sites that utilize various […]
