Skritter for iPhone launches

The Chinese language learning community is abuzz with the launch of Skritter’s mobile iPhone version. It launched earlier today on the app store. I’ve been a fan of Skritter and this mobile version is a brilliant move for the team. Touchscreens + Skritter is a match made in heaven.

I do not own a iPhone, but my word does this app make me want one really badly. Could it be the killer app for Chinese learners!? For more info visit their iOS page or get it straight away! Now to start saving for an iPhone (or dream of an Android version).

[shoulder perch] Yes, Niel! Buy the iPhone, Niel! See, it’s for learning Chinese, which makes it worthwhile. ;)

I wonder how many iOS devices Skritter will help sell for Apple! You can always get an iPod touch or iPad for a cheaper way to get the apps.

Indeed, an iPod is worth it for Pleco anyway.

I think for a Skritter fan the app is amazing and they will love it as it makes Skritter ever better. And for those that go to the app first, without knowing Skritter, will find it a handy and cool way to study characters. Something that can replace writing on a piece of paper or even get them to study characters in the first place (many concentrate on spoken Chinese in the beginning).
